Minister of Contemporary Worship
Jeremy Wilkerson- Minister of Contemporary Worship
Jeremy's passion is for people to connect with and experience an Almighty God in a real and fresh way every single day and with each opportunity. He strives to know God's Word more and seeks to pursue excellence as well as be relevant in every endeavor.
Jeremy grew up in East Texas and is the son of a Baptist Minister. From an early age, he showed a talent and interest in musical arts. As he grew, those talents and abilities began to shine through as he pushed himself to learn as much as he could.
At the age of 8, Jeremy’s dad led him to Christ after he asked what it meant to be a “sheep of the great Shepherd.” At age 15, he felt called to ministry and continued to explore what that might look and be like. He has had and continues to have a great role model in his dad. His dad is also a Music Minister and is a living example of what Scripture calls believers to live, be, and do. In December 2009, Jeremy earned his Bachelor of Art in Church Ministry degree with a minor in Biblical Studies from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Jeremy's work in music, as well as youth ministry and preaching, has taken him extensively throughout the United States and several other countries. For approximately ten years, Jeremy traveled in various bands and events singing, teaching, and preaching God's Word. In addition, he is a published author of “What Do Your Feet Say", a published songwriter, and an accomplished musician and with the 2009 release of his debut album "God of Creation". He also has extensive video editing skills that he uses to help visually connect others to God.
In addition, Jeremy has been married to Kristin since December 2005. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine degree from Lynchburg College and a Master of Divinity in Christian Education from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. In her spare time, Kristin loves to be crafty, cook, and collect Vera Bradley.
Together, Jeremy and Kristin love to cheer on the New Orleans Saints and the Texas Rangers, play games, drink Dr. Pepper and watch movies. They both love to wear flip flops in all kinds of weather. And they are both look forward to how God is moving in their lives everyday.
