Parents are the #1 influence into a child's life.
This applies to behavior, habits, interests, and FAITH. Many studies have taken place on adolescent faith in the recent years, and all the studies are saying the same thing. "Parents are usually the most important influence in their kid's lives." (Sticky Faith: Youth Worker Ed, 116.) Christian Smith writes, "For better or worse, most parents in fact still do profoundly influence their adolescents -- often more than their peers...the most important social influence in shaping young people's religious lives is the religious life modeled and taught to them by their parents." (Soul Searching: the Religious and Spiritual Lives of American Teenagers, 56.)

For this reason, we seek to intentionally partner with parents by resourcing and building community for families. The Preschool, Children's and Student Ministries collaborate together to offer some shared events and discipleship opportunities to strengthen our families.
