Larry McCutcheon - Ministry Resident toYoung & Median Adults
Larry McCutcheon was born on October 10, 1989. He moved to his hometown of Fort Payne, AL at age 5. Larry has two sisters, one a twin and one three years younger. He grew up at First Baptist Church of Fort Payne which, along with his family, heavily shaped him spiritually. At age 9 he became a Christian and at age 16 he felt called to ministry. Larry attended Samford University where he majored in Classics. While there he met his wife, Mary Evelyn. They were married on March 1, 2014.
While in college, Larry enjoyed the opportunities to study abroad. Trips to London, Greece, Rome, and South Africa proved to be transformational in his view of the world. These trips sparked a love for travel. Also, during those college days, Larry interned at Brookwood Baptist in Birmingham, AL.
Currently Larry is finishing up his M.Div at McAfee School of Theology, where he also served as the Youth and Young Adults minister at First Baptist Church of Tucker. His wife Mary Evelyn is back in school working towards her master’s degree in history and secondary education.
When out of the office Larry loves reading, eating, and sports, both playing and watching. He also loves spending time, and especially traveling, with Mary Evelyn. He, and Mary Evelyn, are excited about being at part of First Baptist and the many wonderful times ahead!
